Tara Spence began her career with the City of Pensacola in August 1999. In 2019, she transitioned to working with victims of violent crimes, which led to her current role as Victim Assistance Coordinator with the Pensacola Police Department in the Criminal Investigations Division.


Since becoming an advocate for victims, Tara has received numerous honors, including the State of Florida Attorney General’s 2023 Distinguished Victim Services Award and the Junior League of Pensacola’s 2024 Hometown Hero Award.


A graduate of Pensacola State College and Troy University, Tara holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Business. She is also an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Gamma Tau Zeta Chapter.


A native of Pensacola, Florida, Tara has been married to her husband, Gamal, since 2002, and together they have three children: Raiden, Christian, and Zara.
